This book was published by Michael Lett and Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery on the occasion of the exhibition, Michael Parekowhai On First Looking into Chapman’s Homer, for the New Zealand Pavilion at the 54th International Art Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia, 2011. Only very limited copies of this edition are now available.

The second edition was released to celebrate the return of Parekowhai’s On First Looking into Chapman’s Homer from the New Zealand Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale, Italy and its recent presentation at Musée du quai Branly, Paris, France. In this edition, many of the original photos are replaced with new images of the work.
