We sat down with poet and Dead Bird Books co-founder Dominic Hoey and asked him about some of his favourite things. 

Tell us about your publishing platform.

Dead Bird Books was set up when me and my mate Sammy saw a gap for high quality work that didn't fit into what was already getting published. We also wanted to use our knowledge and skills that we learnt from working in the music industry to promote books. So far it seems to be working.

Lots of shitty horror films.

What are you listening to?

I just discovered Young Fathers on tour so playing them to death in the car. Also a podcast on Chernobyl.

Favourite book of all time?

The Goldfinch.

Ria Masae, Ron Gallipoli, Liam Jacobson, Vanessa Croftskey, Elliot Francis Stewart, Prince Chilli.
